1. Georgia at Alabama

These programs are still the cream of the crop, not just in the SEC, but also in the country.

It could be the highest ranked matchup during the 2024 regular season, and it would be a wise bet to say College Gameday goes here as well.

After all, this will be just the third time they play in the regular season in the past 15 years.

Over the past two seasons with the Bulldogs standing tall at seasons end, there has been chatter about who the king of college football is.

And frankly, that speculation seemed blasphemous if you would have told me a few years ago that any team would overtake Saban as THE national powerhouse.

But over the past two seasons, Georgia has earned all of the praise they have gotten. And with what their schedule looks like for 2023, they might just go for a three-peat.

If that’s the case, then this might be the game many fans will point to as the “end” of Saban’s undisputed reign, and the decade of the Bulldogs (if Georgia wins).

Or the game many will point to as a defining win for Alabama to keep their “top-dog” status. Only time will tell.

Count me in.
