3-star SF Jordan Burks commits to Kentucky
Having already owned the nation’s top 2023 class, Kentucky added the sixth commitment of that cycle Monday in Jordan Burks, who is also a former Ole Miss commit. Burks is rated as a three-star small forward out of Hillcrest Prep in Arizona.
Alabama names Rob Vaughn as new head baseball coach
Announced on Monday, Alabama has named Rob Vaughn as their new head baseball coach, with former interim coach Jason Jackson also remaining on the Crimson Tide’s staff as associate head coach/pitching coach. Vaughn comes to Tuscaloosa from Maryland where he has been named the Big 10 Coach of the Year each of the last two seasons, as well as led the Terrapins to both a 42-21 overall record and regional appearance during the 2023 campaign.
LSU OF Josh Stevenson enters transfer portal
LSU sophomore outfielder Josh Stevenson entered the transfer portal Tuesday. Stevenson, who slashed .200/.379/.308 with one HR and nine RBI across 40 games a year ago, has appeared in 24 games with the Tigers this season, going 1-for-10 with an RBI in limited action at the plate.
4-star DL Jordan Thomas commits to Georgia
Georgia landed a commitment Tuesday from Jordan Thomas, who is commit No. 19 in the Bulldogs top-ranked 2024 class. Thomas is considered as the top player in the state of New Jersey, rated as a four-star defensive lineman out of Don Bosco Prep.
