Michigan transfer 2B Ted Burton commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M baseball landed a commitment via the transfer portal Wednesday from Ted Burton, a second baseman who joins the Aggies after four seasons at Michigan. Burton, a career .285 AVG hitter, is coming off a 2023 season in which he slashed .301/.414/.565 with 13 HR, 45 RBI, and four SB across 56 games to earn Third Team All-Big 10 honors.

UCLA transfer RHP Kelly Austin commits to Florida

Florida added a baseball transfer commitment Wednesday from right-handed pitcher Kelly Austin, who joins the Gators from UCLA. Having posted a combined 3.72 ERA across the last two seasons, the right-hander is coming off a 2023 season in which he held a 5-4 record with a 3.39 ERA and a 104:34 K:BB ratio across 82.1 IP, while also holding opponents to a combined .229 AVG against.

Alabama 3B Colby Shelton enters transfer portal

Alabama third baseman Colby Shelton entered the transfer portal Wednesday after one season in Tuscaloosa. Shelton, who was named Freshman All-SEC, along with receiving some Freshman All-American honors, slashed .300/.419/.729 with 25 HR and 51 RBI across 59 games.

Alabama INF Bryce Eblin enters transfer portal

Alabama infielder Bryce Eblin also entered the transfer portal Wednesday. Eblin appeared in 40 games with the Crimson Tide this past season, slashing .268/.333/.378 with two HR and 17 RBI.

K Rodrigo Blankenship signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rodrigo Blankenship, who is a former kicker at Georgia, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday. Blankenship appeared in three NFL games last season with the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals, going 4-for-5 on both field goals and extra points.

4-star LB Joseph Phillips commits to Auburn

Auburn football added the eighth commitment of their 2024 class Thursday in Joseph Phillips, a four-star linebacker. Phillips is an in-state prospect out of Booker T. Washington High School.
