Here is a look back at a few things to know from Wednesday across the SEC, a day that featured a roster update for Kentucky basketball, a big commitment for Alabama basketball, and more.
5-star Georgia QB commit Dylan Raiola transfers to Buford High School (GA)
Georgia 2024 quarterback commit Dylan Raiola officially transferred to Buford High School (GA) on Wednesday, which comes after having previously announced he would be transferring to Pinnacle (AZ) from Chandler (AZ) earlier this year. Raiola is considered as the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect, rated as a five-star.
Kentucky G Antonio Reeves expected to return for 2023-24 season
According to 247Sports’ Travis Branham, Kentucky guard Antonio Reeves is expected to return to the Wildcats for the 2023-24 season. Starting in 14-of-34 games a year ago, Reeves received SEC Co-Sixth Man of the Year honors by averaging 14.4 PPG, 2.1 RPG, and 1.1 APG on 39.8% shooting from three, along with 78.3% from the free throw line.
Duke transfer INF Andrew Fischer commits to Ole Miss
Ole Miss baseball landed a transfer commitment Wednesday from infielder Andrew Fischer, who joins the Rebels after a season at Duke. Fisher started in 45-of-47 games for the Blue Devils this past season, slashing .289/.404/.595 with 11 HR and 33 RBI.
Vanderbilt INF Parker Noland enters transfer portal
One of the SEC’s biggest names now available, Vanderbilt senior infielder Parker Noland entered the transfer portal Wednesday. Noland started in all 61 games which he played this past season, slashing .277/.367/.455 with nine HR and 39 RBI.
UNC Greensboro transfer OF Kennedy Jones commits to South Carolina
South Carolina baseball added a transfer commitment Wednesday from UNC Greensboro outfielder Kennedy Jones. Jones started in all 59 games this past season in which he played, and was UNC Greensboro’s top hitter slashing .357/.445/.598 with 14 HR, 43 RBI, and four SB.
