Keep LSU’s bats in check

Florida will be facing off against arguably the best offense in the country in LSU. The Tigers have scored the most runs (608) in the country this year, are second in the nation in Home Runs (have hit 138 of them), and rank fifth in team Slugging % (.556).

While the Tigers lineup is led by Golden Spikes Award Finalist Dylan Crews and Tommy “Tommy Tanks” White (who hit the walk-off 2 run homer to send LSU to the Championship series), they have a deep lineup with numerous players that can cause damage.

Crews put up a .423/.563/.715 slash line on the year along with 18 HR, 69 RBI, and 94 runs scored. White has put up exactly 100 RBI to go along with a .375/.430/.728 slash line and 23 homers. The LSU lineup also features other strong hitters such as Hayden Travinski, Tre’ Morgan, Cade Beloso, Gavin Dugas, Brayden Jobert, and Jared Jones.

This series will be a fantastic matchup of Florida’s pitching staff against this LSU lineup, and the series very well might come down to who wins that matchup. This is one of the best pitching staffs in the nation facing off with one of the best lineups in the nation. It will be one of the toughest tests each unit has had all season, and should be very entertaining all weekend.

While there will be other things that Florida has to do well to beat LSU (and there are also a group of things that LSU must do well to knock off the Gators), these were what I feel are Florida’s four biggest keys to winning the National Championship. Overall, I expect this to be one of the best championship series’ we have seen in a while.
