SEC Basketball: Ranking the 2023-24 ACC/SEC Challenge matchups

10. Ole Miss vs. NC State

The Rebels matchup for the 2023-24 ACC/SEC Challenge will be at home in year one of the Chris Beard era, as Ole Miss will welcome NC State to Oxford. This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two programs, with the most recent coming back in 2000.

9. Georgia at Florida State

Coming in at No. 9 is a matchup that you could certainly make an argument should be higher, as Georgia will travel to Tallahassee for a showdown with Florida State. No strangers to each other on the hardwood with Florida State owning a 19-12 all-time advantage head-to-head, this will however be the first meeting between the Bulldogs and Seminoles since 1981.

8. Florida at Wake Forest

Florida will travel for the 2023-24 ACC/SEC Challenge, as the Gators will play Wake Forest on the road. In what will be the 13th all-time meeting between the two, Florida holds a 7-5 advantage in the head-to-head series, with the last meeting coming back in 2014.

7. Alabama vs. Clemson

A 2023-24 ACC/SEC Challenge matchup that features two teams who are certainly no stranger to each other on the football field, Alabama will host Clemson later this season. The Tigers own a 7-2 all-time advantage in the head-to-head series, with the most recent contest coming back in 2020.

6. Auburn vs. Virginia Tech

Falling just short of the top five, Auburn will welcome Virginia Tech to Neville Arena this upcoming season for an intriguing matchup. A head-to-head series in which the Tigers own a 5-2 all-time advantage, Auburn and Virginia Tech last played during the 1999-00 season.
