We begin with a look at the Florida Gators, who was arguably SEC football’s biggest overall winner on the recruiting trail during June by landing a total of 11 commitments, 10 of which came in their 2024 class. As for that one who wasn’t, Florida landed what is likely to be their final addition of the 2023 cycle in Quincy Ivory, who is a JUCO edge rusher out of East Los Angeles College (CA).
Looking at Florida’s other additions, the Gators 2024 class is now one of the nation’s best for the cycle, with a majority of the commitments during June coming on the defensive side of the ball, in particular the front-seven. Of that group, some of the biggest included that of four-star’s Jamonta Waller (Picayune Memorial, MS), Aaron Chiles (Our Lady Good Council, MD), Amaris Williams (Clinton, NC), and Nasir Johnson (Dublin, GA), while the Gators also added a three-star defensive lineman from Georgia in Michai Boireau (Creekside, GA).
Florida also added three offensive linemen during the month of June, each of which are rated as three-star prospects in Marcus Mascoll (South Gwinnett, GA), Noel Portnjagin (Germany), and Mike Williams (Charles Herbert Flowers, MD). The final two commitments were both four-star’s, as athlete Amir Jackson (Portal, GA) picked the Gators, while Florida also added a talented wide receiver in Jerrae Hawkins out of in-state IMG Academy.
