Ole Miss landed a total of 10 commitments during the month of June, nine of which came in their 2024 class, with the lone omission coming from four-star quarterback Austin Simmons (Moore Haven, FL) who flipped from Florida, while also reclassifying from the 2025 class to 2023. Likely the biggest name of that 2024 group was that of Travaris Banks, a four-star safety out of Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa High School in Alabama who is now one of the Rebels highest-ranked commits of the cycle.

As for Vanderbilt, the Commodores had a strong month of June on the recruiting trail by landing a total of 13 commitments, which was the most of any SEC football program. Of those 13, 12 came in the Commodores 2024 recruiting class, while Vanderbilt also added the second commitment of the 2025 cycle in wide receiver Carson Lawrence out of in-state McCallie School (TN).

Mississippi State Bulldogs

June Commits:

  • 4-star WR JJ Harrell
  • 4-star ATH Braylon Burnside
  • 4-star OT Jimothy Lewis
  • 4-star DL Terrance Hibbler
  • 4-star ATH PJ Woodland
  • 3-star RB Xavier Gayten
  • 3-star LB Fred Clark

  • 3-star OT Luke Work

As for the final SEC football recruiting winner during the month of June, Mississippi State added a total of 10 commitments, each of which came to the Bulldogs 2024 class. Arguably the headline names in that group were a pair of four-star in-state products in JJ Harrell (North Panola, MS) and Braylon Burnside (Starkville, MS), both of which are now Mississippi State’s two highest-rated commits of the 2024 cycle.
