Kentucky, Alabama among SEC basketball June 2023 recruiting winners

Kentucky Wildcats

June Commits:

  • 4-star C Somto Cyril
  • 3-star SF Jordan Burks
  • 3-star SG Joey Hart

As mentioned previously, we begin with Kentucky, as the Wildcats added a total of three commits during the month of June, which was the most of any SEC basketball program. Included in those three commitments were also two names to likely round out the Wildcats top-ranked 2023 class, as well as their first commit of the 2024 cycle.

Taking a look at those names, arguably the biggest was that of Somto Cyril, who was the Wildcats 2024 addition during June. Cyril, as mentioned previously, is the Wildcats first addition of the 2024 cycle, and is a highly-rated four-star center who plays for Overtime Elite.

As for the Wildcats pair of 2023 commitments, the highest-rated of the two was that of former Ole Miss commit Jordan Burks, who is a three-star small forward out of Hillcrest Prep (AZ). The Wildcats other 2023 commit came from another three-star wing in shooting guard Joey Hart (Linton-Stockton, IL), who is the seventh commitment overall in Kentucky’s class.
