Alabama Crimson Tide

June Commits:

  • 4-star PF Jarin Stevenson

As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide, similar to Kentucky, also landed a key piece to their 2023 class during the month of June. While it was not multiple commitments like the Wildcats, the Crimson Tide however added what was arguably the biggest commit of any SEC basketball team during June in Jarin Stevenson.

Originally considered one of the top frontcourt prospects in the 2024 class, Stevenson would go on to commit to the Crimson Tide toward the back-half of June, as well as reclassify into the 2023 class. As to what the Crimson Tide land in Stevenson, the power forward is a highly-rated four-star prospect, and attends Seaforth High School in North Carolina where he was one of the state’s top players.

Looking ahead, Stevenson is likely to play a key role for the Crimson Tide in 2023-24, and joins an Alabama class alongside others such as Sam Walters, Kris Parker, and Mouhamed Dioubate, with each certainly names to know for the defending SEC basketball champions. As for Stevenson in particular, there is no denying that this was a big addition during June for the Crimson Tide overall.
