Texas A&M Football has never played these FBS teams
By Matt Melton
CUSA: Jacksonville State, Liberty, Western Kentucky
Moving on to CUSA, Texas A&M has not faced three teams from the conference, two of which are brand new this season in Jacksonville State and Liberty. Jacksonville State moves up from the FCS level, while Liberty is a fairly new program that has played independent since 2018.
FBS Independents: UConn
The lone FBS independent program that the Aggies have never faced is UConn. The Huskies didn’t start playing at the FBS level until the 2000 season.
MAC: Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Miami, Ohio, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Western Michigan
The conference with the most teams that have never faced the Aggies is in fact the MAC, as Texas A&M football has only played two teams from the 12-team conference. Those two teams are Ball State and Kent State, both of which Texas A&M has only played once.
MWC: Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV
Texas A&M has not faced six teams from the MWC in Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State, San Jose State, and UNLV. As mentioned with the Big Ten earlier though, the MWC could provide a matchup that college football fans would likely want to see in the Aggies against Boise State, who have had eight 10-win seasons since joining the conference back in 2011.
