A multi-year starter along the Gators offensive line, Kingsley Eguakun enters the 2023 season as one of the SEC’s most experienced offensive linemen, as well as just simply one of the top names at the position overall. So, with that thought in mind, what will the 2023 season have in store for the Florida football offensive lineman?

Florida Football 2023 Season Preview: OL Kingsley Eguakun

Eguakun originally came to Gainesville as a member of the Gators 2019 recruiting class, rated as a three-star offensive guard according to the 247Sports Composite out of Sandalwood High School in Florida.

Once at Florida, Eguakun would go on to appear in only two games as a reserve during the 2019 season, redshirting at seasons end. Eguakun would also remain a reserve offensive lineman as a redshirt freshman in 2020 as well, but would have a larger sample size as he appeared in each of the Gators 12 games.

Eguakun would officially crack the starting lineup for the Gators during the 2021 season, starting in all 13 games for Florida at center. The former three-star would also start in all 13 games for the Gators last season at center as well, making Eguakun one of the SEC’s most experienced offensive linemen entering the 2023 campaign, which will be his fifth in Gainesville.

Florida OL Kingsley Eguakun 2023 Season Prediction

As mentioned previously, Eguakun enters the 2023 season as one of the SEC’s most experienced centers, and is likely to start at the position for the third consecutive season in Gainesville this fall.

Should that happen also, Eguakun could be in contention for potential All-SEC honors at seasons end, but is likely not the clear preseason favorite for First Team honors, as that is likely Georgia’s Sedrick Van Pran. However, Eguakun could certainly be in the mix for Second Team honors, which could also feature multiple others.

Overall, expect a strong season for the 6-foot-3, 302 pound, redshirt junior, one in which he is one of Florida football’s top offensive linemen.
