The two-time defending national champions have gotten out to a fantastic start with their 2024 recruiting class. Georgia football’s 2024 class currently ranks 1st in the 247 team rankings with 311.68 points and an average rating of 93.48. The class currently features 26 players (with three five-stars, 17 four-stars, and six three-stars).

Georgia football has had strong recruiting classes in recent years (finished second in 2023 and third in 2022), but this is shaping up to be one of their best yet under Kirby Smart.

Using the 247 composite rankings, this UGA class currently features three players who are the top player at their position. Further along, the class features seven players who rank in the top five at their position and 16 players total who rank in the top twelve at their position. The class also features 12 of the top 100 players nationally (and 14 of the top 106 players).

As with any discussion about recruiting, it’s always important to remember that this won’t be Georgia’s final class. Georgia will add several more players (even to a class already with 26 players), and a couple of these players already here might end up de-committing before Early Signing Period in December gets here. We’ll also see some re-shuffling of the rankings between now and when the class is finalized in February. However, all we can do right now is look at the class how it is currently constructed.

Here I’ll take a look at the class broken down by star rating, and then give some overall thoughts on the class at the end. With all of that being said, let’s go ahead and dive in and take a look at the Georgia football 2024 recruiting class as it current stands:

Where does Georgia football’s 2024 recruiting class currently stand?

5 Stars

  • QB Dylan Raiola (#1 overall player/#1 QB/#1 player in GA)
  • CB Ellis Robinson IV (#4 overall player/#1 CB/#2 player in FL)
  • LB Demarcus Riddick (#23 overall player/#3 LB/#3 player in AL)

Georgia’s class is headlined by the #1 overall player in the class in star QB prospect Dylan Raiola who just transferred to in-state powerhouse Buford from Arizona. The star power at the top does not stop there though as Georgia also has commitments from two other 5-stars in top corner prospect Ellis Robinson out of IMG Academy (originally from Connecticut) and linebacker Demarcus Riddick out of Chilton County HS in Alabama.
