SEC News: 2024 SEC Media Days location revealed, Vanderbilt extends Lea

A day that marked the start of 2023 SEC Media Days, here are a few things that you need to know from across the conference Monday.
Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea signs contract extension
Vanderbilt head football coach Clark Lea has signed a contract extension to remain at the helm of the Commodores program. Lea has been the head coach at Vanderbilt for the last two seasons, owning a combined 7-17 record.
2 SEC programs included in Top 8 for 5-star CG Boogie Fland
Alabama and Kentucky were the two SEC programs included in the top eight for Boogie Fland, and were joined by Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, St. John’s, and UConn. Fland is rated as a five-star combo guard in the 2024 class out of Archbishop Stepinac (NY).
Arizona State transfer INF Luke Hill commits to Ole Miss
Ole Miss has landed a commitment from Arizona State transfer infielder Luke Hill. Hill started in 54 games for the Sun Devils this past season as a freshman, slashing .314/.389/.456 with six HR, 42 RBI, and three SB.
2024 SEC Media Days to take place in Dallas, TX
Announced by commissioner Greg Sankey, 2024 SEC Media Days will officially take place on July 15-18 from Dallas, TX.
3 SEC programs included in Top 8 for 4-star SF Jalen Shelley
Arkansas, LSU, and Texas A&M were included in the top eight for Jalen Shelley, with the trio joined by Colorado, Houston, Louisville, Marquette, and Ohio State. Shelley is rated as a four-star small forward in the 2024 class out of Link Academy in Missouri.
2 SEC programs included in Top 4 for 5-star ATH Mike Matthews
One of the nation’s top overall athletes in the 2024 class, Mike Matthews has released a top four of Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, and USC. Matthews is rated as a five-star athlete out of Parkview High School in Georgia.
