SEC News: Tennessee lands 5-star prospect, Heyward decommits from Georgia

Taking a look at the conference Tuesday and Wednesday, here are a few things to know across the SEC, which is headlined by a big commitment for Tennessee, a four-star safety decommitting from Georgia, and more.
Georgia DB Smoke Bouie no longer with team
According to The Athletic’s Seth Emerson, Georgia defensive back Smoke Bouie is no longer with the team. Bouie, a former four-star prospect from the 2022 class, transferred to Georgia after a season at Texas A&M where he had four tackles a year ago.
C Nerlens Noel signs with Sacramento Kings
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, free agent center Nerlens Noel has signed with the Sacramento Kings. Noel, a former 2013 first round pick out of Kentucky, appeared in 17 games during the 2022-23 season with the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets, averaging a combined 2.1 PPG and 2.7 RPG.
4-star WR Tawaski Abrams commits to Florida
Florida has landed an in-state commitment from Tawaski Abrams, who is a four-star wide receiver in the 2024 class. Abrams attends Dunbar High School in Florida.
4-star S Jaylen Heyward decommits from Georgia
Jaylen Heyward, a four-star safety from the 2024 class, has officially decommitted from Georgia. Heyward attends Rockledge High School in Florida, and had been committed to the Bulldogs since January of 2023.
Georgia included in Top 2 for 5-star LB Justin Williams
Justin Williams, who is one of the nation’s top linebackers in the 2024 class, has officially released a top two of Georgia and Oregon, as well as a decision date of July 24. Williams is rated as a five-star linebacker out of Oak Ridge High School in Texas.
5-star WR Mike Matthews commits to Tennessee
