Central Michigan Chippewas

The fourth consecutive MAC program to start this list, Central Michigan has never defeated a team from the SEC. Having played five teams from the conference head-to-head, the Chippewas have not come close to defeating an SEC football team in a majority of those contests.

Central Michigan vs. SEC schools

  • Florida (0-1 all-time: 82-6 L in 1997)
  • Georgia (0-1 all-time: 56-17 L in 2008)
  • Kentucky (0-7 all-time: 31-14 L in 1983, 18-7 L in 1988, 20-17 L in 1990, 21-14 L in 1992, 45-36 L in 2006, 27-13 L in 2011, 35-20 L in 2018)

Charlotte 49ers

The first non-MAC program on this list is Charlotte of CUSA, who is also one of the youngest FBS programs to be included as well. Since joining the FBS level back in 2015, the 49ers have faced a total of three SEC teams head-to-head.

Charlotte vs. SEC schools

  • Kentucky (0-1 all-time: 58-10 L in 2015)
  • South Carolina (0-1 all-time: 56-20 L in 2022)
  • Tennessee (0-1 all-time: 14-3 L in 2018)

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

Another fairly new program to the FBS level on this list is Coastal Carolina, who began play back in 2017. Since their move to FBS, the Chanticleers, who are from the Sun Belt, have played only two SEC teams, along with another as an FCS program.
