Sam Houston Bearkats

A program new to the FBS level this season in CUSA, Sam Houston has played two teams from the SEC in LSU and Texas A&M. The Bearkats lengthy head-to-head history with Texas A&M does date back to well before the Aggies officially joined the SEC.

Sam Houston vs. SEC schools

  • LSU (0-1 all-time: 56-0 L in 2014)
  • Texas A&M (0-13 all-time: 47-28 L in 2012, 65-28 L in 2013, 31-0 L in 2022 – Also lost 78-0 in 1919, 53-0 in 1923, 77-0 in 1925, 26-0 in 1932, 34-14 in 1933, 28-0 in 1934, 25-0 in 1935, 39-6 in 1936, 54-0 in 1941, and 56-9 in 1997 prior to Texas A&M joining the SEC in 2012)

San Diego State Aztecs

Another prominent MWC team, San Diego State has played only one SEC program head-to-head in Missouri. However, each meeting has come prior to the Tigers officially joining the SEC back in 2012.

  • Missouri (0-3 all-time: Lost 45-15 in 1979, 31-7 in 1980, and 27-24 in 2010 prior to Missouri joining the SEC in 2012)

Texas State Bobcats

Texas State has played only two SEC programs across their history on the gridiron, both of which are close geographically in Arkansas and Texas A&M. However, as is the same with multiple other previous matchups, one came prior to Texas A&M officially joining the conference in 2012.

  • Arkansas (0-1 all-time: 42-3 L in 2016)
  • Texas A&M (0-2 all-time: 41-7 L in 2019 – Also lost 44-31 in 2005 prior to Texas A&M joining the SEC in 2012)
