10. Jalen Milroe – Alabama Crimson Tide

2022 Stats: 58.5 CMP%, 297 yards, 5:3 TD:INT, 31 carries, 263 yards, 1 TD across 8 games

We begin at No. 10 with Milroe, who served as the backup quarterback at Alabama last season to starter Bryce Young. A former four-star prospect from the 2021 class, Milroe has seen a limited amount of action across the last two seasons in Tuscaloosa, holding a career 56.7 CMP% with 338 passing yards and a 6:3 TD:INT ratio, while also having rushed for 320 yards and a touchdown on 46 attempts.

Across limited action last season, Milroe would complete 58.5% of passes for 297 yards with a 5:3 TD:INT ratio, along with rushing for 263 yards and a touchdown on 31 attempts. Should he win the starting job for Alabama this fall over the likes of Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner as well, Milroe should be set for a big breakout 2023 campaign at the helm of the Crimson Tide offense, one in which he is one of SEC football’s top dual-threat quarterbacks.

9. Brady Cook – Missouri Tigers

2022 Stats: 64.8 CMP%, 2,739 yards, 14:7 TD:INT, 139 carries, 585 yards, 6 TD across 13 games

Coming off a year in which he had a breakout campaign at Missouri, Cook enters the 2023 season at No. 9. Across his first three seasons at Missouri, one of which he started, Cook owns a career mark of a 67 CMP% with 3,156 passing yards and a 17:7 TD:INT ratio, while also having rushed for 667 yards and seven touchdowns on 162 attempts.

As to what Cook’s breakout season looked like, the Missouri signal caller would complete 64.8% of passes for 2,739 yards and a 14:7 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 585 yards and six touchdowns on 139 attempts as well. Assuming he wins the quarterback competition for the Tigers in the fall over Jake Garcia and Sam Horn as well, Cook could be set for yet another strong year in Columbia this season.
