6. Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss Rebels

2022 Stats: 62.4 CMP%, 2,974 yards, 20:11 TD:INT, 128 carries, 614 yards, 1 TD across 13 games

Falling just short of the top five at No. 6 is Dart, who is entering his second year at Ole Miss after having transferred from USC last offseason. Across his first two seasons of college football, Dart holds career marks of a 62.3 CMP% with 4,327 passing yards and a 29:16 TD:INT ratio, while also having rushed for 657 yards and three touchdowns on 150 attempts between his time with the Trojans and Rebels.

The second Ole Miss quarterback mentioned on this list, Dart is coming off a 2022 season in which he completed 62.4% of passes for 2,974 yards and a 20:11 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 614 yards and a touchdown on 128 attempts. Dart could very easily end up as the Rebels starter once again in 2023 over the aforementioned Sanders and Walker Howard, and if that were to happen, then the junior could be set for another strong year in Oxford.

5. Spencer Rattler – South Carolina Gamecocks

2022 Stats: 66.2 CMP%, 3,026 yards, 18:12 TD:INT, 73 carries, 46 yards, 3 TD across 13 games

Coming off a strong first season in the conference in which he led South Carolina to an 8-5 record, we begin the top five with Rattler at No. 5. An experienced signal caller at the collegiate level, the former five-star prospect enters his fifth season of college football holding career marks of a 68.4 CMP% with 7,621 passing yards and a 58:24 TD:INT ratio combined between Oklahoma and South Carolina, along with 200 carries for 306 yards and 12 touchdowns.

As to what his first season at South Carolina looked like, Rattler would complete 66.2% of passes for 3,026 yards and an 18:12 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 46 yards and three touchdowns on 73 attempts. Ranking No. 5 in the SEC last season in passing yards as well, don’t be surprised if Rattler is set for another strong year in Columbia this fall, one in which he could potentially even rival his 2020 numbers at Oklahoma.
