College Gameday to visit North Carolina vs. South Carolina in Week 1
ESPN’s College Gameday will officially visit Charlotte, NC for week one of the 2023 season, where North Carolina will face South Carolina.
5-star LB Justin Williams commits to Georgia
Justin Williams, who is a five-star linebacker in the 2024 class out of Oak Ridge (TX), has officially committed to Georgia, which you can read more about here.
Dallas Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs agrees to contract extension
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs has agreed to a five-year contract extension. Diggs, a former 2020 second round pick out of Alabama, has two Pro Bowl selections across his first three NFL seasons, where he has amassed a combined 169 tackles and 17 INT’s with the Cowboys.
TE Jace Sternberger signs with Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills have signed former Texas A&M tight end Jace Sternberger, who recently played with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. Sternberger, who was a third round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, last appeared in an NFL game during the 2020 season with the Green Bay Packers.
New York Giants OT Andrew Thomas agrees to contract extension
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New York Giants offensive tackle Andrew Thomas has agreed to a five-year contract extension. Thomas, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Georgia, has started 44-of-45 games for the Giants across the last three seasons.
Georgia 5-star LB commit Demarcus Riddick flips to Auburn
Auburn has landed the highest-ranked commitment of their 2024 class in Demarcus Riddick, who is a five-star linebacker out of Chilton County High School in Alabama. Riddick chose the Tigers over both Alabama and Georgia, whom he had previously been committed to since November of 2022.
4-star CB Cai Bates commits to LSU
LSU has added a 2024 commitment from Cai Bates, who is now one of the Tigers highest-ranked commits of the cycle. Bates is rated as a four-star cornerback out of Edgewater High School in Florida.
