Here are some things to know from across the SEC on Friday, featuring an extension for a former conference great on the hardwood, LSU landing a four-star wide receiver to their 2024 class, and more.

2 SEC programs included in Top 5 for 4-star EDGE Booker Pickett Jr.

Georgia and South Carolina have been included in the top five for Booker Pickett Jr., with the two SEC programs also joined by Florida State, Miami, and Ohio State. Pickett, a four-star edge rusher in the 2024 class, was one of the most productive edge rushers in the state of Florida a year ago, amassing 30 sacks at Wharton High School.

Los Angeles Lakers PF Anthony Davis agrees to contract extension

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis has agreed to a three-year contract extension. Formerly the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, Davis started in 54-of-56 games a year ago for the Lakers in what was his 11th NBA season, averaging 25.9 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.1 SPG, and 2 BPG on 56.3% shooting from three.

RB Kenyan Drake signs with Indianapolis Colts

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, running back Kenyan Drake has signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Drake, a former 2016 third round pick out of Alabama, appeared in 12 games last season with the Baltimore Ravens, rushing for 482 yards and four touchdowns on 109 attempts, while also catching 18 passes for 89 yards and a score.

4-star WR Jelani Watkins commits to LSU

LSU has landed a commitment to their 2024 class in Jelani Watkins. Watkins is rated as a four-star wide receiver out of Klein Forest (TX).

3-star WR Sanfrisco Magee commits to Ole Miss

Ole Miss has added a commitment from Sanfrisco Magee to their 2024 class. Magee is an in-state prospect in the state of Mississippi, rated as a three-star wide receiver out of McComb (MS).
