15. Oregon

14. TCU

13. Washington

12. Notre Dame

11. Texas

This group features several teams who will be trendy preseason College Football Playoff picks. Oregon comes in at #15 coming off a 10-3 season a year ago. There is a lot of hype in Eugene this year, coming off a double-digit win season, returning one of the most experienced QB’s in the nation in Bo Nix, and there is a lot of excitement for year two under Dan Lanning. Last year’s national runner-up TCU will be tasked with replacing star QB Max Duggan, but return a lot of talent and have been active in the transfer portal once again. Washington might be the trendiest of all CFP teams in this list as they are led by one of the best QB’s in the nation in Michael Penix Jr.. Washington is a very dangerous team out west.

Notre Dame is…Notre Dame. Some people will feel that #12 is way too high, while others will look at the Irish’s recent history (63 wins over the last 6 seasons) as reason why they belong in the Top 10 discussion. ND is coming off a 9-4 season a year ago. Is Texas back? We might not have to wait long to know the answer to that question as the Longhorns travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama in Week 2. If Texas can win that game, then the hype train will be full-steam ahead.
