9. Kentucky

The Wildcats took a step back in 2022 but hopes around the program remain high for 2023 with key transfers coming in and head coach Mark Stoops still at the helm.

NC State’s Devin Leary arrives to take over the quarterback position from Will Levis and he will be throwing to one of the best receiving corps in the SEC.

Additions to the offensive line through the transfer portal also fill important holes going into 2023.

But the SEC schedule is unrelenting and while that may allow for more than one loss because the strength of record will be so high, Kentucky will need wins over Tennessee, Alabama, or Georgia.

Except they haven’t beat Georgia since 2009 and Alabama since 1997. So while they might even approach 10 wins once bowl season ends, the Wildcats still appear to be a cut below the upper-echelon SEC football powerhouses.
