8. Arkansas

The Razorbacks are among teams feeling snubbed in the opening AP poll and they have a few reasons to be upset.

KJ Jefferson and Raheim Sanders both return to Arkansas for another year of leading what could be one of the most potent offenses in the conference.

And last year, they lost four games by 3 points or less indicating that this team isn’t as far away as most believe.

As far as a path to the playoff, they only drew Florida and Missouri from the SEC East. So it’s all about staying alive in their division.

And with the ability to put up points, they might just be able to pull something off.

But what prevents them from being higher on the list is the defense. Last year they allowed 30.6 points per game. And matching up against Ole Miss and LSU with returning QB’s could spell trouble.

This feels like a team with a lot of boom or bust potential.
