Ranking every SEC football program by combined record since 2018

Taking a look back at the last five years, here is a ranking of every SEC football program by their combined record since 2018, starting with No. 14.

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

We begin at No. 14 with the Vanderbilt Commodores, who have the worst combined record of any SEC football program dating back to 2018. Sitting at a combined 16-42 over that span, Vanderbilt has finished each season since 2018 under .500, with their highest win total also having come in 2018 at 6-7.

13. Arkansas Razorbacks

Coming in at No. 13 is the Arkansas Razorbacks, who have posted a combined 23-37 record since the 2018 season. Aside from the last two seasons in which the Razorbacks are a combined 16-10,  Arkansas was 7-27 from 2018-20, which included back-to-back 2-10 seasons in 2018-19.

12. South Carolina Gamecocks

Sitting at No. 12 are the South Carolina Gamecocks, who are a combined 28-33 across the last five years. The Gamecocks have finished three of those five seasons over .500, with their lowest mark having been a 2-8 record during the 2020 season.

11. Missouri Tigers

Missouri comes in at No. 11, as the Tigers sit just over .500 at a combined 31-30 from 2018-22. A span that included two .500 seasons in 2019-20, Missouri’s last five years have also included only one season above .500 in 2018 when the Tigers finished 8-5.

10. Ole Miss Rebels

We begin the Top 10 with Ole Miss, who sits at a combined 32-28 across the last five seasons. As to what that span has included, the Rebels were below .500 in 2018-19, exactly at .500 in 2020, and have been above .500 the last two years.

9. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Mississippi State sits at No. 9 on this list, as the Bulldogs are a combined 34-29 across the 2018-22 seasons. The Bulldogs have been above .500 in three of those five years, with the worst record coming via a 4-7 mark during the 2020 season.

8. Auburn Tigers

Sitting at No. 8 are the Auburn Tigers, who are a combined 34-28 since 2018. The Tigers posted a record above .500 each season from 2018-20, but are currently coming off back-to-back seasons with a losing record.

7. Tennessee Volunteers

Coming in at No. 7 is Tennessee, as the Volunteers sit at a combined 34-27 overall across the last five seasons. With three of those campaigns having been above .500, undoubtedly the biggest of those five was their 2022 season, one in which they went 11-2.

6. Kentucky Wildcats

Falling just short of the top five is Kentucky, who sits at a combined 40-23 since 2018. Across the last five years, Kentucky has only one losing season in 2020 (5-6), along with a 10-win season in both 2018 and 2021.

5. Florida Gators

We begin the top five with Florida, who is a combined 41-23 across the last five years. The Gators are coming off back-to-back 6-7 seasons, but had at-least 10 wins during both the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.

4. Texas A&M Aggies

Coming in at No. 4 are the Texas A&M Aggies, who are a combined 39-21 since the 2018 season. The Aggies have only one losing season during that span, which came a year ago with a 5-7 2022 campaign.

3. LSU Tigers

Sitting at No. 3 are the LSU Tigers, who are a combined 46-19 since 2018. A span headlined by a 15-0 record during their 2019 national championship winning season, LSU has posted three 10-win seasons over those five years, while also having one year at .500, as well as one below .500.

2. Georgia Bulldogs

The top two SEC football teams on this list are by far the two best by record, with Georgia sitting at No. 2 at a combined 60-8 since the 2018 season. Georgia has posted a winning season in each of those five years, four 10+ win seasons, and two national championships in both 2021 and 2022.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

The SEC’s top team based on combined record since 2018 is Alabama, who sits at 62-7 across the last five years. Since 2018, the Crimson Tide have won 10+ games in all five seasons, headlined by winning a national championship in 2020, while also playing for two more in 2018 and 2021.
