Sedrick Van Pran elected not to head to the NFL draft in order to return as the stalwart in the middle of the Georgia offensive line. He returns with 30 starts under his belt at center and as a preseason All-SEC selection. On each side of him are two other returning starters and experienced players at the guard positions in Xavier Truss and Tate Ratledge. Truss returns at Georgia’s starting LG from a year ago, and has 39 career games played as he heads into the fifth year of his career. Ratledge returns as the returning starter at right guard and is also a preseason All-SEC selection.

Georgia must replace it’s two starting tackles from a year ago in Broderick Jones and Warren McClendon, but the guys doing so are both very talented. Mims has long been one of the more hyped up players among the O-Line group, and will now finally get his chance to start after playing a lot as a reserve a year ago (and actually starting in the playoffs). Earnest Greene was a highly rated four-star in the class of 2022, and red-shirted a year ago. He now seems ready to step into a starting role this season however.

The second unit on the offensive line appears to be Blaske-Morris-Wilson-Fairchild-Lindberg. All five are entering at least their third year in the program. Georgia likes to rotate their offensive line during games, and are not afraid to shake things up if need-be. We will see multiple members of this group on the field for the Dawgs this season as rotation linemen, and some of them could even push for more PT depending on how things go.

Freeling and Miller are two freshmen who could see time this season, although it’s very difficult for freshmen offensive lineman to play at Georgia. Bou and Bobo both red-shirted last year in their first year’s on campus. They will try to earn more playing time this season. Hughley and Smith are both also four-star freshmen who have a lot of upside.
