From national championships to a stadium without a video board, this division truly has it all. Here are my predictions for the erratic SEC East in 2023:

Predicting the 2023 win totals for SEC East programs

Florida: 6-6

I see a similar season for head coach Billy Napier in year two. This team lacks a leader and are a victim of a brutal schedule. With additional questions at quarterback, I think it’s a little bit more time before we see Napier’s recruiting success shine.

Georgia: 12-0

We know their schedule is easy and this team must ready to make the jump to playing the best teams America has to offer. Brock Bowers is a freak of nature and no team on this schedule will be able to score against the dawgs or with them.

Kentucky: 9-3

I love Mark Stoops, and he did a tremendous job in the transfer portal this offseason. Devin Leary is not only a replacement for Will Levis, but an upgrade. Leary is instantly a premier quarterback in the SEC. The Wildcats go to Athens, GA on 10/7 and they will be 5-0; let’s see what happens. This is unquestionably a Top 25 team.

Missouri: 6-6

I don’t believe in the quarterback here, no matter which one wins the starting battle. Keep an eye on 5-star WR Luther Burden. He is a walking highlight reel.

South Carolina: 7-5

Week 1 sets the tone, and I predict a big opening win for the Gamecocks over the border rival Tar Heels. Williams-Brice Stadium is a brutal place to travel, and I see them finding enough success at home to give Shane Beamer even more momentum heading into next recruiting season.

Tennessee: 10-2

Joe Milton can sling it. The Vols should have another great year and will welcome Georgia at home with a chance to make a legitimate push to the Playoff. Are they good enough to hang with Georgia and Alabama?

Vanderbilt: 3-9

Clark Lea is the right man for this job and will continue to keep pushing this program forward through recruiting and culturally. Bowl season is coming soon!
