Alabama Crimson Tide

August Commits:

  • 4-star S Peyton Woodyard
  • 4-star WR Amari Jefferson
  • 3-star S Rydarrius Morgan
  • 3-star TE Jay Lindsey
  • 3-star S Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.

Moving on to Alabama, the Crimson Tide were one-of-two SEC football programs to land a total of five commitments during August, each of which came via their 2024 class. Of those five, arguably the biggest was that of Peyton Woodyard, who is a four-star safety out of St. John Bosco (CA), one who flipped his commitment to Alabama from Georgia during the month.

Speaking of the safety position, a majority of Alabama’s commitments during August 2023 came there, as the Crimson Tide also added two in-state prospects throughout the month in Rydarrius Morgan and Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., both of which are three-star prospects. Morgan attends Central-Phenix City (AL), while Kirkpatrick, who is the son of former Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, attends Gadsden City (AL).

As for Alabama’s two additional commitments, the highest-rated of those two is Amari Jefferson, who is a four-star wide receiver out of Baylor School (TN). The Crimson Tide’s final commitment was an in-state prospect in Jay Lindsey, who is a three-star tight end out of Patrician Academy (AL).
