SEC Football: Ole Miss, Alabama among August 2023 recruiting winners

LSU Tigers

August Commits:

• 5-star WR Dakorien Moore
• 4-star RB Caden Durham
• 4-star WR Jelani Watkins
• 3-star TE John David LaFleur

LSU added four commitments during August 2023, two of which came in the Tigers 2024 class, as well as a pair in the 2025 cycle. Undoubtedly the biggest of those four came in LSU’s 2025 class in Dakorien Moore, who is one of the nation’s top players that cycle where he is rated as a five-star wide receiver out of Duncanville (TX).

Auburn Tigers

August Commits:

• 4-star EDGE Jakaleb Faulk
• 4-star CB Jalewis Solomon
• 4-star DL TJ Lindsey
• 3-star DL Dimitry Nicolas

The Auburn Tigers also added four commitments during the month of August, which includes the highest-rated of that group in four-star edge rusher Jakaleb Faulk out of in-state Highland Home (AL) to their 2025 class. As for their 2024 trio, arguably the biggest was that of Jalewis Solomon, a four-star cornerback out of Schley County (GA).

Arkansas Razorbacks

August Commits:

• 3-star OT Kai Greer
• 3-star LB Wyatt Simmons
• ATH Tay Lockett
• OT Bear McWhorter

The final SEC football program on this list, Arkansas, similar to Alabama, also added a total of five commitments during August. Of those five, two were the Razorbacks first commitments of the 2026 cycle in athlete Tay Lockett out of St. John Bosco (CA) and offensive tackle Bear McWhorter from Cass (GA).
