SEC Football: Tennessee, Arkansas rise in Week 2 2023 power rankings

6. Kentucky Wildcats

Coming off a 44-14 home win over Ball State, the Kentucky Wildcats remain in the No. 6 spot in this week’s update. After a bit of a slow start, the Wildcats would take control of the contest with a 20-0 advantage in the second quarter, and would go on to outscore Ball State across the games final three frames a combined 41-7.

Now sitting at 1-0 this season, Kentucky will remain at home in Week 2 with a matchup against Eastern Kentucky.

5. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 5

After posting one of SEC football’s top offensive performances during Week 1, Ole Miss remains at No. 5 coming off their 73-7 home win over Mercer. A near complete performance for the Rebels, Ole Miss would put the game away early with a 38-7 lead at halftime, and would shine offensively by compiling 667 yards of total offense.

The Rebels will now play in one of SEC football’s top Week 2 matchups, as Ole Miss (1-0) will travel to Tulane for a Top 25 matchup.
