SEC Eats in each Town: Where should I go?

Texas (Austin, TX)

Historic Sixth Street in Austin Texas is a world famous area in downtown Austin that is loaded with bars and restaurants. Generally speaking, it is a cannot miss wherever you decide to end up to catch a bit before or after a gave. Below are a few individual recommendations however:

The Tavern: Great service at this downtown sports bar. Food-wise, they are known for their famous wings, burgers and more. Check out their craft cocktails as well. And most importantly, they claim to be the "best place in Austin to watch the game" with over 30 tv's.

Crown & Anchor Pub: Located on west campus, this 365 a year pub offers some of the best burgers in Austin. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is paralleled by few. The pub has won numerous food, music and drink awards since it opened in 1987.

Vanderbilt (Nashville, TN)

Hattie B’s: A must-stop if you’re looking for some Nashville-hot chicken from mild to very spicy.

Pancake Pantry: A popular breakfast spot that makes their food from scratch every morning. Their batter, fruit compotes and syrups are made fresh each day from secret family recipes.

The Stillery: A main hangout spot for both teams on gameday. This Nashville restaurant and bar is the kind of place you can relax at while chowing down on one of their two-handed sandwiches.
