Coming off a weekend that was headlined by major matchups in places such as Tuscaloosa and Miami, here is the latest update of our power rankings as we enter Week 3 of the 2023 SEC football season.

Arkansas, Florida rise in Week 3 2023 SEC football power rankings

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 14

We begin this week once again at No. 14 with Vanderbilt, as the Commodores suffered their first loss of the season Saturday afternoon on the road to Wake Forest, 36-20. The Commodores would trail by a score of 24-14 at halftime in the contest, and struggled with turnovers by committing three, as well as allowing 288 rushing yards to the Demon Deacons.

Now sitting at 2-1 on the season, Vanderbilt will travel once again during Week 3 to face UNLV on the road.

13. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 12

The first team to drop this week is Missouri, as the Tigers fall a spot from No. 12 to No. 13 after a win at home in a close game against Middle Tennessee, 23-19. Carrying a 16-10 lead into the fourth quarter, the Tigers were actually outscored in the game’s final frame, 9-7, but were still able to hang on for a close win over the Blue Raiders.

Still undefeated at 2-0 on the year, Missouri is now set for their toughest test yet, as the Tigers will host No. 15 Kansas State in Week 3.
