6. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 6

Staying put in the No. 6 spot this week is Kentucky, who is coming off a 28-17 win over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. A game that was tied 7-7 at halftime, the Wildcats used a third quarter in which they outscored Eastern Kentucky 14-3 to eventually pull away in the contest.

Now sitting at 2-0 on the season, Kentucky will remain at home in Week 3 as the Wildcats host Akron.

5. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 5

After picking up one of SEC football’s top wins of the weekend by defeating Tulane on the road by a final score of 37-20, Ole Miss remains in the No. 5 spot this week. A game that was tied 17-17 entering the fourth quarter, the Rebels would completely own the fourth quarter to pull away, as they outscored Tulane, 20-3, across the game’s final frame.

The Rebels will now return home in Week 3 for another intriguing non-conference matchup, as Ole Miss (2-0) hosts Georgia Tech in Oxford.
