SEC Football: Arkansas, Florida rise in Week 3 2023 power rankings

4. LSU Tigers

Remaining at No. 4 this week is LSU, as the Tigers picked up their first win of the season Saturday by defeating Grambling, 72-10. A game in which LSU amassed 622 yards of total offense, 302 of which came via the running game, the Tigers would lead 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, and would go on to outscore Grambling across the game’s final three frames, 58-0.

As mentioned previously, LSU (1-1) will now open SEC football play Saturday by traveling to face Mississippi State.

3. Tennessee Volunteers

Previous Ranking: 3

Remaining at No. 3 by a slim margin is Tennessee, as the Volunteers picked up a 30-13 win at home over Austin Peay on Saturday. A game in which the Volunteers amassed 228 rushing yards, Tennessee would lead 13-6 at halftime of the contest, and eventually pulled away due to a 17-7 advantage in the second half.

As mentioned previously, Tennessee (2-0) will open SEC football play on the road in Week 3, as the Volunteers travel to Florida.
