2. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 2

As mentioned previously, Alabama remains in the No. 2 spot by a slim margin after the Crimson Tide’s 34-24 home loss to Texas. A game in which Alabama was out-gained in total yardage, 454-362, the Crimson Tide would trail by a score of 13-6 entering halftime, and were also outscored in the second half, 21-18.

Alabama (1-1) will now travel for the first time this season in Week 3, as the Crimson Tide face South Florida in a non-conference matchup.

1. Georgia Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 1

To conclude this week’s update, Georgia remains in the No. 1 spot coming off their 45-3 win over Ball State. A game in which the Bulldogs defense forced three turnovers, the Bulldogs would pull away with a 31-0 advantage in the second quarter, and never looked back.

Georgia (2-0) will now begin their SEC football schedule in Week 3, as the Bulldogs host South Carolina.
