8. Conner Weigman (Texas A&M)

Previous ranking: 8

It was a disappointing outing for the Aggies on Saturday as they fell 48-33 to Miami (FL). Weigman aired the ball out with success, but also threw a couple of picks. On the afternoon, Weignman was 31-of-53 passing for 336 passing yards, 2 passing TD’s, and 2 INT’s to go along with 29 rushing yards and a TD on the ground. A&M needs to play better as a whole, as does Weigman, but QB was not the biggest issue for the Aggies. For the season Weigman has a 64.5% completion percentage (49/76 passing), 572 passing yards, 51 rushing yards, 8 total TD’s (7 passing, 1 rushing), and 2 INT’s.

Up next, Texas A&M will look for a rebound as they host FCS UL-Monroe at 4:00 pm Eastern on Saturday. The Aggies are big favorites, and are hoping for a relatively quiet big win.

7. Joe Milton III (Tennessee)

Previous ranking: 7

It was a lackluster offensive performance from Tennessee on Saturday as they beat Austin Peay 30-13, but that seemed to be somewhat by design (from a playcalling standpoint at least). Milton did not get the ball downfield much, which is his strength. He ended up going 21-of-33 for 228 yards, and 3 total TD’s (2 passing, 1 rushing) in the win. For the season, Milton has a 66.7% completion percentage (42/63 passing), 429 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, 7 total TD’s (4 passing, 3 rushing), and 0 INT’s.

This week, the Vols will enter SEC play as they head into the Swamp to take on Graham Mertz and Florida at 7:00 pm Eastern. While he is an older player, this will be a big test for Milton. This will be a raucous atmosphere and is a primetime game.
