LOCK: South Carolina vs. Georgia Over 54.5

The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs are playing their third straight home game to open the season, and it’s a sure bet South Carolina isn’t ready for what’s going to greet them.

The naysayers will say the Bulldogs have started slowly in their first two games against creampuff competition, but in the end, the Dawgs rolled up the scores and have allowed 10 points all season long, with none coming before the 4th quarter when everyone but the scout team as on the field for Georgia.

South Carolina was beaten handily by North Carolina in Week 1, and looked more like the Gamecocks we’ve been accustomed to seeing in recent years…meh.

While there are still some question marks on the Georgia defense, and the Gamecocks may score more on the Bulldogs than expected, it’s almost certain we’ll see more than 55 points scored in this game. Georgia may score that many on their own, to be honest.
