10. South Carolina Gamecocks
Previous Ranking: 9
Dropping a spot from No. 9 to No. 10 this week is South Carolina, who fell on the road to Georgia, 24-14. A game in which South Carolina would actually lead at halftime, 14-3, the Gamecocks were shutout in the second half, 21-0, to eventually drop the contest.
Now sitting at 1-2 this season, as well as 0-1 in the SEC, South Carolina will now host Mississippi State on Saturday.
9. Florida Gators
Previous Ranking: 12
Easily the biggest riser of the week was Florida, as the Gators jump three spots from No. 12 to No. 9 as a result of their 29-16 home win over Tennessee. Despite being out-gained in total yardage, the Gators would carry a 26-7 lead into halftime, which also included a 20-0 advantage during the second quarter.
Now sitting at 2-1 this season, as well as 1-0 in the SEC, Florida will remain at home this week for a non-conference matchup against Charlotte.
