8. Arkansas Razorbacks

Previous Ranking: 7

Falling a spot from No. 7 to No. 8 this week is Arkansas, as the Razorbacks fell in non-conference action to BYU at home, 38-31. A back-and-forth contest in Fayetteville, the game would be tied 31-31 entering the fourth quarter, with BYU eventually finding the end zone in the game’s final frame to get the win, even despite Arkansas out-gaining the Cougars in total yardage, 424-281.

Now sitting at 2-1 for the season, Arkansas will open SEC football play this week on the road at LSU.

7. Texas A&M Aggies

Previous Ranking: 8

Rising a spot to No. 7 from No. 8 is Texas A&M, as the Aggies would blowout UL Monroe by a final score of 47-3. A complete performance from the Aggies, Texas A&M would lead 27-3 at halftime, as well as out-gain UL Monroe in total yardage, 557-222.

Texas A&M (2-1) will now open SEC football play this weekend at home against Auburn.
