6. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 6

Remaining at No. 6 is Kentucky, as the Wildcats are coming off a 35-3 victory over Akron. Never trailing in the contest, the Wildcats would carry a 14-0 lead into halftime, and would also out-gain Akron in total yardage, 450-239.

Undefeated at 3-0 so far this season, Kentucky will open SEC football play this weekend on the road at Vanderbilt.

5. Tennessee Volunteers

Previous Ranking: 3

Falling two spots within the top five this week is Tennessee, as the Volunteers drop to No. 5 from No. 3 after their 29-16 road loss at Florida. Despite out-gaining the Gators in total yardage, 387-349, Tennessee would trail 26-7 at halftime, with their 9-3 advantage in the second half not enough to come from behind from.

The Volunteers now sit at 2-1 overall this season, as well as 0-1 in SEC play, and will host UTSA in Knoxville this weekend.
