2. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 2

One of SEC football’s more surprising results from Week 3 came via Alabama, who defeated South Florida on the road by a final score of 17-3 to remain at No. 2 by a slim margin. A game that was tied 3-3 at halftime, Alabama would go on to outscore the Bulls 14-0 in the second half, as well as rack up 203 rushing yards Saturday afternoon.

Now sitting at 2-1 on the year, Alabama will open SEC football play this Saturday at home against Ole Miss.

1. Georgia Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 1

Remaining at No. 1 this week is once again two-time defending national champion Georgia, as the Bulldogs are coming off a 24-14 home win over South Carolina. A game in which Georgia trailed at halftime, 14-3, the Bulldogs would completely shut out the Gamecocks in the second half, using a 21-0 advantage in the last two quarters to pull away.

Now sitting at 3-0 this season, as well as 1-0 in the SEC, Georgia will remain at home this week for a matchup against UAB.
