SEC Football: Rattler, Cook, Mertz Rise in Week 4 QB Power Rankings
6. Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss)
Previous Ranking: 6
Jaxson Dart did most of his damage on the ground (in absence of star running-back Quinshon Judkins) on Saturday as Ole Miss pulled away late to beat Georgia Tech 48-23. Dart was 10/18 passing for 251 passing yards, but he also ran for 136 yards as well. He scored 3 TD’s on the evening (1 passing, 2 rushing) as well. For the season, Dart has a 66.2% completion percentage (45/68 passing), 852 passing yards, 213 rushing yards, 9 total TD’s (7 passing, 2 rushing), and 1 INT.
Dart and 3-0 Ole Miss will have their biggest challenge yet on Saturday as they take on Alabama at 3:30 Eastern. A win would be a major boost for Ole Miss in the polls/in the West and for Dart on this list.
5. Devin Leary (Kentucky)
Previous Ranking: 5
Kentucky looked better on Saturday as they cruised 35-7 over Akron, but it’s still not the offensive output that fans want. Leary was also better than last week, but still not what we’ve seen from him before. He ended up going 16/25 for 315 passing yards, 3 passing TD’s, and 1 INT. On the year, Leary has a 61.7% completion percentage (58/94 passing), 855 passing yards, 8 passing TD’s, and 3 INT’s.
Leary and the Wildcats head into SEC football play this week as they look to stay unbeaten against AJ Swann and Vanderbilt at Noon Eastern.
