4. Will Rogers (Mississippi State)

Previous Ranking: 3

As just about the entire Mississippi State team did, Will Rogers struggled on Saturday. The Bulldogs were blown out 41-14 by LSU in a game that didn’t even feel as close as that. Rogers ended up having one of the worst games of his career as he was 11/28 passing for 103 yards, with 0 TD’s or INT’s. For the season, Rogers has a 59.5% completion percentage (44/74 passing), 492 passing yards, 5 passing TD’s, and 0 INT’s.

Mississippi and Rogers really need a bounce-back this weekend, but they have a tough game ahead of them as they travel to take on Spencer Rattler and South Carolina at 7:30 pm Eastern.

3. Spencer Rattler (South Carolina)

Previous Ranking: 4

Speaking of Rattler, It was a tale of two halves on Saturday for Spencer Rattler and South Carolina. Rattler looked like a world-beater in the 1st half as the Gamecocks led No. 1 Georgia 14-3 at the break. Rattler was then harassed all second half and struggled through the air as South Carolina ended up losing 24-14. Overall, Rattler went 22/42 through the air for 256 passing yards, 35 rushing yards, 1 passing TD, and 2 INT’s. To give the full story, Rattler was 16-of-18 for 152 yards in the 1st half. Then in the 2nd half, he struggled to the tune of 6-of-24 passing for 104 yards along with the two picks. Nevertheless, he still played well enough (and gave South Carolina a chance to win) to move up a spot. On the year, Rattler has a 71.3% completion percentage (77/108 passing), 954 passing yards, 5 total TD’s (4 passing, 1 rushing), and 2 INT’s.

As mentioned, South Carolina will also be looking for a bounce-back as they try to get back to .500 against Rogers and Mississippi State on Saturday night.
