2023 Week 5 AP Poll Top 25: Every SEC team’s highest, lowest spot on ballot
After the biggest College Football week of the season so far in terms of big matchups, there has been a lot of movement in the Week 5 AP Poll as you can expect. SEC teams were no different from the rest of the country in that a lot of SEC teams saw a lot of movement after a weekend with several SEC matchups.
The AP Poll is a collection of ballots from over 60 media members from around the nation. Teams are assigned points based on where they are ranked on a ballot, and then the teams with the top 25 point totals make up the top 25.
The SEC has the most teams ranked that they have all season with 7, one more than last week. There are also 2 other SEC schools receiving votes, which means that they were included on someone’s ballot but are not within the top 25 highest point totals. In total, 9 SEC schools were included on at least one ballot.
