6. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 4

One of SEC football’s biggest teams to drop this week was Ole Miss, who dropped two spots from No. 4 to No. 6 as a result of their 24-10 road loss at Alabama. The Rebels first loss of the season, Ole Miss was limited to just three points across the game’s final three quarters after taking a 7-3 lead in the first quarter.

Now sitting at 3-1 overall this season, as well as 0-1 in SEC action, Ole Miss will return home this Saturday for one of the conference’s premier matchups of the week against LSU.

5. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 6

We begin this week’s top five with a new No. 5 in the Kentucky Wildcats, who jump a spot from No. 6 as a result of their 45-28 road win at Vanderbilt. A game in which the Wildcats would force four turnovers, Kentucky would jump out to an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter, which would help them hold on for the win.

Still undefeated at 4-0, Kentucky (1-0 in SEC) will return to action this Saturday at home against Florida.
