8. Conner Weigman/Max Johnson (Texas A&M)

Previous Ranking: 8

It was a sluggish start for Texas A&M, but they ultimately pulled away to knock off Auburn 27-10. Conner Weigman started the game, going 8-of-14 through the air for 70 passing yards (no TD’s or INT’s). He then however went down with a lower leg injury late in the 2nd quarter, which caused him to be replaced by Max Johnson. Johnson played very well in relief, going 7-of-11 through the air for 123 passing yards, 15 rushing yards, 2 passing TD’s, and 0 INT’s which included some nice passes down the field.

On the year, Weigman now has a 68.9% completion percentage (82/119 passing), 979 passing yards, 63 rushing yards, 10 total TD’s (8 passing, 2 rushing), and 2 INT’s. Johnson has a 64.5% completion percentage (20/31 passing), 226 passing yards, 4 passing TD’s, and 0 INT’s.

Weigman’s availability moving forward is up in the air, but if he can’t go, then Max Johnson showed this past week that A&M should still be in a good spot at the QB position. Whichever one gets the start will take on KJ Jefferson and Arkansas in Jerry’s World in Arlington at Noon Eastern on Saturday.

7. Joe Milton III (Tennessee)

Previous Ranking: 7

Tennessee jumped out in front of UTSA this week en route to a blowout 45-14 win as Milton got it done with both his arm and his legs. Milton went 18-of-31 through the air for 209 passing yards, 89 rushing yards, 3 total TD’s (2 passing, 1 rushing), and 0 INT’s. Included in the totals was an 81 yard touchdown run in which he topped out at a whopping 21.3 miles per hour. On the year, Milton has a 62.5% completion percentage (80/128 passing), 925 passing yards, 135 rushing yards, 12 total TD’s (8 passing, 4 rushing), and 1 INT.

As Tennessee looks to get back in the SEC East race, Milton and Co. will host Spencer Rattler and South Carolina on Saturday night at 7:30 pm Eastern in Neyland.
