SEC Football: Milroe, Dart rise in Week 5 QB Power Rankings
6. Devin Leary (Kentucky)
Previous Ranking: 5
For whatever reason, it just does not feel like Devin Leary has gotten into a groove yet this season for Kentucky, although they improved to 4-0 with a 45-28 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday. On Saturday, Leary was 15-of-29 through the air for 205 passing yards, 12 rushing yards, 1 passing TD, and 2 INT’s. We know what Leary can be at QB, he just has not really lived up to it yet this season. For the year, Leary has a 59.3% completion percentage (73/123 passing), 1,060 passing yards, 9 passing TD’s, and 5 INT’s.
Kentucky will host Graham Mertz and Florida this week at Noon Eastern in a battle of teams looking to start 2-0 in SEC football play.
5. Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss)
Previous Ranking: 6
It was not Dart’s best performance on Saturday as Ole Miss failed to get much of anything going on offense in a 24-10 loss to Alabama. Dart was not the reason Ole Miss lost however as he moves up a spot. In the game, he went 20-of-35 passing for 244 passing yards, 1 rushing TD, and 1 INT. In total, Dart has a 63.1% completion percentage (65/103 passing), 1,096 passing yards, 219 rushing yards (most among SEC QB’s), 10 total TD’s (7 passing, 3 rushing), and 2 INT’s on the year.
Dart and Ole Miss will be looking for a rebound this week as they host Jayden Daniels and LSU at 6:00 pm Eastern on Saturday.
