2023 Week 6 AP Poll Top 25: Every SEC team’s highest, lowest spot on ballot
With our first full weekend of SEC action (in that every SEC team faced another SEC opponent) this past week, there was a lot of drama on the weekend. A top 25 SEC shootout, an almost upset on the Plains, some surprising results, etc.. With all of that happening, there was some movement in this week’s AP Poll, especially in the bottom half of the rankings.
The AP Poll is a collection of ballots from numerous media members from across the nation. These individual ballots are then compiled into the top 25 poll we see every week. In total, there are 7 SEC teams included in this week’s top 25. There is then one more team that is “receiving votes” (meaning they were on at least one ballot, but did not receive enough points to be in the top 25). Overall, 8 of the 14 SEC schools were included on at least one ballot.
