4. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 5

Also rising a spot within the top five this week is Kentucky, as the Wildcats jump from No. 5 to No. 4 as a result of their 33-14 win over Florida. A game in which the Wildcats never trailed, Kentucky would jump out to a 16-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, and received a massive game from running back Ray Davis, who rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns on 26 attempts.

Still undefeated at 5-0 overall, as well as 2-0 in SEC play, Kentucky is now set for their toughest test yet with a road trip to Georgia this Saturday.

3. Tennessee Volunteers

Previous Ranking: 4

Tennessee also rises a spot in this week’s update from No. 4 to No. 3 coming off their 41-20 win over South Carolina. A game in which the Volunteers led 24-10 at halftime, Tennessee would out-gain South Carolina in total yardage, 477-333, with 238 coming on the ground.

Now sitting at 4-1 overall, as well as 1-1 in SEC action, Tennessee now enters their bye week in Week 6.
