Remaining at No. 2 this week is Alabama, as the Crimson Tide picked up their third-straight win by defeating Mississippi State in Starkville, 40-17. A game in which Alabama led 31-10 at halftime, the Crimson Tide would out-gain Mississippi State in total yardage, 357-261, as well as force three turnovers in the contest.

Now sitting at 4-1 overall, as well as 2-0 in SEC play, Alabama will travel to College Station this week for a matchup against Texas A&M.

We conclude this week’s SEC football power rankings with Georgia remaining at No. 1, as the Bulldogs picked up a 27-20 road win at Auburn on Saturday. A game in which Georgia would out-gain Auburn in total yardage, 420-307, the Bulldogs would eventually pull away with a 10-3 advantage in the fourth quarter after the game was tied 17-17 entering the game’s final frame.

Still undefeated, Georgia (5-0 overall, 2-0 in SEC) will return home Saturday for a showdown against Kentucky.
